Complementary Alternative Medicine Articles
Why complementary medicine?
I am doing research for a non-paid) article (I have the intention of writing about peoples' views of complementary medicine and the value that some input on a specific topic. I have noticed on sites like this when people ask questions related to complementary and Alternative Medicine, there are often people's responses with very negative views on the ground. I am aware that there are people within certain professions and industries that can, for professional or commercial reasons, are opposed to complementary medicine (I have no interest in creating tension or opportunity to "sling mud" to get into details about who may be), but I would like to hear from people outside of these professions or industries. Why what you hold negative opinions you have? Is it based on bad personal experience? If so, what experience have you had? Thank you very much
1) For a short time, I attended a monthly meeting of people who either had cancer or were cancer survivors. I was there in the hope provide a complementary approach If anyone is interested. I initially kept my mouth shut, trying to get a feel for groups of opinions about existing therapies complementary. Once I had the opportunity to begin to ask about the experience of all complementary therapies, none of them had direct experience to form their opinions. However, everyone had a story "of someone's brother, or sister-in-law, or whoever, who had tried a nutritional approach, or had gone to Mexico, or had tried some alternative proposals, however, the person had died anyway. This was enough to only look to allopathic medicine. ("I can mention the number that showed eating fast food? None of them thought of juice or nutrition was a valid method of healing.) 2) When the mother a friend was diagnosed with cancer, had a series of recommendations for her. "Well," said my friend, my mother is going to try first radiation. She did not want to do anything, or take anything that interferes with treatment. But maybe later … "I heard that response many times. 3) A friend wrote, frantic her sister-in-law was diagnosed with cancer. Once again, brought together a group of very helpful recommendations. Some time later I asked my friend and her sister-in-law was doing. "Oh, he decided to try to take large amounts of Vit. C. Ah, I see. She obviously does not value his life too. I did not want changing anything else and took the easiest suggestion I had. I personally do not the value of Vit. C suggestion a lot. I believe that an adjunct therapy. But, I know a lot of people who grabbed that option because its much easier than changing your lifestyle. For anyone who wants to know the story of the disappearance alternative therapies, read "When healing becomes a crime." (See reference).
